Delete your account & data
How to delete your Gift Tracker account and the data linked to it, whether or not you still have the app installed, and exactly what happens to it.
Option A: in the app (immediate)
- Open Gift Tracker and go to Settings.
- Open Security & account.
- Tap Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete everything.
Your account and data are deleted straight away, and Gift Tracker resets your phone to a fresh install. Google may ask you to choose your account again first, to confirm it's you.
Not signed in? Your lists exist only on your phone. Settings → Security & account → Erase all data deletes them, as does uninstalling the app.
Option B: by email (if you no longer have the app)
- Email apps@goldengemcreations.com from, or mentioning, the Google account email address you signed in to Gift Tracker with. That address is how we find your account.
- We'll confirm the request with you at that address, then delete your account and data as described below.
- We'll email you once it's done, within 30 days of your request.
What's deleted, and what's kept

| Your encrypted key backup, list index and "mailbox" (the hash of your email address and your public key) | Deleted permanently. |
| Lists that only you belong to: all their people, gifts, occasions, photos and purchase details (all encrypted) | Deleted permanently. |
| Your membership of lists shared with other people, and your copy of their keys | Deleted. You're removed from the list. |
| Gifts, people and notes you added to a shared list | Kept for the list's other members, because they're part of that list (still end-to-end encrypted). If you owned it, ownership passes automatically to another member. |
| Email invitations you sent that haven't been accepted | Deleted along with your account. Unused invitations expire after 14 days in any case. |
| Everything on your phone (lists, keys, settings) | Erased when you delete in the app. If you request deletion by email, uninstall the app to remove it. |
| Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports | Not linked to your account (they carry no user ID or anything from your lists), so we can't pick out yours to delete. Google deletes them automatically: detailed usage data within 14 months, crash reports after 90 days. Deleting your account erases the app's data, which also discards this phone's analytics ID. |
| Your passkey | Stored by your password manager, not by us. Remove the "goldengemcreations.com" passkey from Google Password Manager if you like. |
| Records of optional support purchases | Kept by Google Play as part of your Google account's purchase history, under Google's policies. |
| Emails or support messages you sent us | Deleted within 30 days after your request is completed, unless you ask us to keep helping you. |
Deleted data can't be recovered. Google, which runs our servers, then removes it from its own systems and backups on its standard schedule.
